| Single Savers High single room or sole occupancy supplements can often make travelling alone costly To help keep your costs to a minimum we have arranged with many of our hotels to waive or reduce the supplement during certain periods of the year. Look for our Single Saver offers. |
| Savings for Children To simplify matters and show you clearly the amount of money it is possible to save, the first child reduction is clearly shown in the appropriate column on each price panel. This reduction applies to the price shown in the brochure. The second or subsequent children pay just a small supplement of 50 Pound in addition to the first child price. To qualify, children must be under 12 years of age on the day of departure from the UK and share a room with 2 full fare-paying passengers. All children are required to pay any hotel, apartment, board or flight supplements in full. The child's age at the time of departure must be noted at the time of booking Please note that we do not accept bookings for children under 12 years of age on safaris or escorted tours. | Overseas Service Unlike many long haul holiday companies, Distant Dreams has its own fully staffed offices in many of the countries featured in this brochure. These offices are run by experienced resort managers and their competent, friendly teams of Representatives. At these overseas destinations you will be met on arrival by one of our Representatives or tour escorts. They will assist with transportation to your hotel or apartment and will be able to provide you with helpful hints on sightseeing, advice on sports facilities available and tips on local features and nightlife. Your Representative will also regularly visit your hotel or apartment to provide any help or advice that you may need. In some resorts you will be met by a Distant Dreams appointed local agent who will provide a similar level of service. Our local agents are carefully chosen for their reliability, experience and courtesy - and all their staff are English- speaking. If you are a seasoned traveller you may never need the services of our resort office or local agent, but it is good to know that help is always at hand should it be required. |

| EXPERIENCED GUIDES Escorted tours are accompanied by professional leaders or local guides on the touring part of the itinerary but not on days when there are no sightseeing tours included. A number of itineraries include an internal flight or train journey. On these itineraries, guides accompany the tour during the sightseeing element only, but not on the internal journey; a new guide will meet you on arrival at your new destination. Similarly, where a tour involves a border crossing there will be a change of guide. In addition to our escorted tours, we feature a number of journeys and touring itineraries where you will be accompanied by an experienced local driver, and be met by local guides where sightseeing is indicated as being included in the programme. |
| TOUR AND STAY Without doubt a touring holiday is a great way to develop the mind, but it can be quite tiring.
