| With 17th century origins, this house is in a lovely setting overlooking the river Dordogne to the south, and bordered on the north by orchards and a small stream. There are two hectares of enclosed grounds, on the other side of which is a canal suitable for canoeing. The busy little market town of Lalinde is just 3 km away, situated on the river Dordogne, and from the public gardens in the town there are views over the superb 'Cingle de Tremolaf, so called because the Dordogne river forms two loops at this point and is particularly scenic. There is a leisure centre in Lalinde with swimming pool, sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, and for historic interest a number of bastide towns and chateaux are within easy reach. For a bit of wine tasting, Bergerac is well worth a visit too.
